Design Consultation

This can be anything from an in-person meeting, FaceTime, email, zoom meeting, or whatever works best for you. If you’re within our service area of a few hours, on-site consults will give you the greatest benefit as we can survey the site fully. The goal is to see what it is you are after, observe the land, and help create an understanding of how permaculture can get you there. Abundance and ecological harmony are interwoven. It is up to us to be conscious and develop a symbiotic plan for the life of the land.

Typically, a consult is an hour of your time, but we try to offer as much time as the space requires, even if that takes all day.

Perhaps you have ideas and just need help with designing and building them out. Maybe you have a completely blank slate and are unsure where to start. Maybe you want to utilize permaculture to provide food for school children or underserved community members. Maybe you just would like to restore your little portion of the earth to a habitat that is more welcoming.

We are here to work with you through a great system of principles that expands far beyond the soil.
In advocating for global regeneration through individual responsibility, we understand that life is the result of cooperative biodiverse living systems. Permaculture Design and Implementation

This is where we use knowledge of permaculture, soil building, polyculture guilds, earthworks, local ecology, microclimates, nutrition, natural farming, water harvesting, and regenerative agriculture in harmony with the natural world to come up with a conscious design. Through the principles of permaculture, we will create an agriculturally productive system of great organic diversity, stability, and resilience. The goal is not just sustainability, but to regenerate the soil, your health, and planetary health as well.

Together, we will observe, design, and actualize, all while striving to mimic natural ecosystems that produce abundance. We will seek to close loops where energy is wasted rather than thoughtfully given as many purposes as it can.

Through this process we develop a plan that is like a user manual for conducting the harmonious integration of the landscape, the soil, the plants, and living creatures with the people they have always provided with food, energy, shelter and other material needs for.

Education/Workshops/Tours

Here at Ancient Origins, we don’t just want to design, we want to be involved and strive to teach the benefits that permaculture and local scale regenerative agriculture can have on community health. Whether it is a residential design, a large scale agriculture project, an environmental mitigation issue, a school or community garden… We want you to be a part of the process of regenerating our only earth. We want to teach you permaculture. We are happy to answer questions, and even happier to work together with you, your family, or community in order to actualize positive change for people and planet.

We will walk you through polyculture guilds, water harvesting, soil testing, earthworks, composting, seed saving, harvesting yields, pruning, succession planting, seasonal garden tasks, cold season growing, building your own greenhouse, animal care, re-wilding, restoring harmony with native plants and critters, food preservation, and more. We even will bring the compost, the seeds, plants, shrubs, and trees right to your site and implement an educational project for you.
